Purple Track believes strongly in going green.

Here at Purple Track we offer various products that are good for the environment. Products such as Vehicle Tracking, Route Planner, CANbus and Satellite Navigation can help highlight excessive mpg for individual vehicles, plan shorter and more efficient routes along with helping your drivers reach their destination using as little fuel as possible. You can also use the system to generate Live and Historical reports - This lets you act quickly to situations as they arise and spot trends over time, enabling you to take action and reduce your fuel usage!

But as a business is that enough? After all we do make money from selling these solutions!

The answer is NO, it’s not enough! So this is what we’ve been doing about it:

We’ve moved offices!!

Buildings are responsible 40% of greenhouse gases being released into the earth’s atmosphere and are major contributors to climate change. So when the time came for Purple Track to relocate, the ‘Green’ credentials of our new office were a major factor in determining our next move.

After careful consideration we decided that EPIC (Eliot Park Innovation Centre) was by far the best option. EPIC is one of the UK’s most environmentally-friendly office buildings and has won various awards including:

Recommend a Friend

Along with our new offices Purple Track recently decided to add a ‘Green’ twist to our recommend-a-friend scheme.  Currently we pay £50.00 per system that we sell as a result of someone recommending our products & services.  As of 1/07/07 we will continue to pay £50.00, but now we will also donate £25.00 to green projects.

Company Cars

We’ve recently changed our fleet of company cars.  Now all our company cars do over 60 miles per gallon and release 120g/km of CO2.  The company cars we now use are the only non-hybrid medium sized 120 g/km car.
